so what do you do?

This is probably the question people ask me most these days. Since I don't really have a normal work schedule, it is a bit hard to explain. My first responsibility is studying: this includes preparing for my class, reading, studying the Bible in Spanish, talking with people...basically anything I can do to help me think in Spanish and be better prepared to share my faith with others.

Much of my other stuff revolves around church: there is Bible study and prayer meeting on Wednesday, youth group on Saturday, worship service on Sunday. I also try to stop and see one or two people who live near me during the week when there is time.

It is interesting because even though compared to other times in my life, my schedule is much more open, I still seem to find things to do. It seems that there is always a meeting to attend, or a person to have coffee with or laundry to do. Life just continues: today, my car had to go to the mechanic, my teacher cancelled classes unexpectedly, the bank computer was broken so I couldn't pay my insurance bill. Always something! I have to say though that even though things don't always go the way I'd like them to, the Lord continues to firm up the steps I'm taking.
