do you trust me?

For really the last 2 years, I have been living on the edge--not in danger by any means but the unknown. Outside of my training, my home country, with no routine, no predictability and no idea what is happening next. Part of me loves the wide open possibilities of each day; the other part would like to just get everything under my control...I want to set up my own schedule, I want to see the results that I'm looking for, and I want to show folks what I can do...

But do I really? In the movie, Aladdin, the princess is faced with the question, "Do you trust me?", when Aladdin wants her to follow him into the unknown. She has to decide whether he is worth following even when she doesn't know what that means. Okay, I'm not looking for Aladdin to help me jump off a building but I do have to wonder if the Lord asks me the same question by giving me just enough of my future to allow me to take the next step without knowing what the end will look like. The thing is that he is completely trustworthy so if he wants me to take that step into the unknown, it will work. If I really trust him, not only will I take that step, but I will also rest in his trustworthiness and not try to figure it out...

"Do you trust me?"
